Why owners fly with us

Your pet is a passenger, not baggage

Leaving a dog or cat in a hold is the thing most owners dread. On a private flight you never have to.

Always with you

Your dog or cat travels in the cabin, next to you, from take-off to landing. You can reassure them the whole way.

A calm, private journey

A quiet private cabin and a private-aviation terminal rather than a busy airline one. The flight is timed around you and your pet.

The right aircraft

Tell us the breed and weight and we choose an aircraft with the cabin space and comfort your pet needs. Large and giant breeds are welcome.

Paperwork explained

Microchip, rabies vaccination, health certificate, tapeworm treatment: we tell you exactly what applies to your route, in what order, and when.

Arrival checks planned

Pets must often arrive by an approved route with checks in place. We plan the routing and arrange the arrival checks as part of your charter.

One inclusive price

A real UK team, open 24 hours a day since 2011, and one fully inclusive price for the aircraft, with no hidden costs.

What owners say

Flown with Charter-A

★★★★★

“The absolute best private charter experience.”

“We had to fly a 15-week-old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy home from Estonia to Biggin Hill... fabulous from start to finish; telling us exactly what paperwork was required... He even ensured that the watermelon we'd mentioned our puppy loved was provided as part of the extensive fruit platter! A thoroughly professional service from start to finish. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him wholeheartedly.”

Questions

Flying with a dog or cat: your questions answered

Can I take my dog on a private jet?

Yes. On a private charter your dog travels in the cabin with you. We choose an aircraft that suits your dog's size, brief the crew in advance and plan the paperwork and the arrival checks for your route.

Does my pet travel in the cabin or the hold?

In the cabin, with you, for the whole flight. Your pet is not sent as cargo and does not travel in a hold.

How much does it cost to fly a dog on a private jet?

You pay for the aircraft and the route, not per passenger or per pet. Real examples from flights we have arranged are on our costs page. Vet visits and health certificates are separate and are paid to your vet.

What paperwork does my pet need?

It depends on where you are flying from and to. Most routes need a microchip, a rabies vaccination and an official health document; some need extra treatments or tests. Our pet travel rules pages explain it country by country, and we confirm the rules for your trip when you enquire.

Can large dogs fly with you?

Yes. Tell us the breed and weight and we choose an aircraft with the cabin space your dog needs. Large and giant breeds are some of the dogs we fly most often.

What about flat-faced breeds such as bulldogs and pugs?

Flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds can have breathing difficulties when they fly, so talk to your vet before you book. We can plan the timing, the weather and the aircraft around your dog, and a private cabin is calmer than a busy airline journey.

Can I bring more than one pet?

Often, yes. Tell us how many and what they are. Some countries limit how many pets one traveller may bring, so we check the rule for your route.

How far ahead should I contact you?

As soon as you know you are travelling. The aircraft can often be arranged quickly, but some routes need weeks of vet preparation, such as a waiting period after a rabies vaccination, so an early conversation protects your date.

What happens if the flight is cancelled because of the weather?

If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing.
